About Second Snuggles

We’re a family-run business, led by me—Amy—and inspired by the love and imagination of my two (now teenage) daughters. Second Snuggles was born from their deep affection for stuffed animals and my passion for sustainability.

It all started with a simple, tender question: Where do stuffed animals go when kids no longer want them?
It’s a tough one, especially when a child has built a deep bond with their stuffie but no longer feels the need to keep it.

Thrift stores are often overwhelmed with donations, if they even accept plush toys at all. And for those that do, there’s no guarantee each one will find a new home. That didn’t sit right with us.

So, we put out a call for donations in our little town hoping to rescue just a handful of forgotten friends for a children’s small business fair we’d signed up for. We pictured a cozy table with a few gently loved stuffies, ready to meet new children.

Instead, within hours, we were surrounded by bags and bags (and bags!) of stuffed animals. Each one was waiting patiently for a second chance. It was clear: the need was bigger than we thought.

Today, we’re growing our dreams to meet that need. We lovingly restore each donation, stitching up holes, brushing out fur, and honoring the stories woven into their seams. Our mission is simple: to help every rescued stuffie begin a new chapter with someone like you.
